2026 Summer Cutting Garden Collection
If starting seeds isn’t your thing… but flowers are—this one’s for you.
You love flowers.
You love the idea of growing your own.
But starting seeds from scratch?
That’s a whole different story.
(And let’s be honest… seedlings can humble you real quick )
So we took care of that part for you.
Introducing the Muddy Mountain Flower Farm Summer Annual Collection
This is the good stuff—the varieties we actually grow here on the farm. The ones that show up, hold up, and keep blooming without throwing a fit. No fussy nonsense. Just honest, hardworking flowers you’ll be a little obsessed with by midsummer.
What’s in the 2026 Summer Cutting Garden Collection?
3 Rooted Dahlia Cuttings – big, bold, can’t-miss blooms
6-pack Zinnias – tough, colorful, and made for cutting
6-pack Celosia – funky textures and rich color
6-pack Marigolds – easygoing and always cheerful
6-pack Ageratum – soft blues and purple the pollinators can’t resist
6-pack Gomphrena – heat-loving and long-lasting
6-pack Cosmos – light, airy, and a little wild (in a good way)
6-pack Basil – smells as good as it looks in a bouquet
6-pack Snapdragons – tall, classic, and full of charm
We’ll even tuck in a few Sunflower seeds so you can try your hand at direct sowing
What kind of space are we talking?
About 40 square feet.
One sunny patch of ground—that’s it.
And you won’t be guessing. We send you home with a grow guide + garden plan so everything has a place and you know what to do with it.
Full sun required (6+ hours)
All plants are annuals
The important stuff
Local pickup only
Pickup the week after Mother’s Day
Wednesday at the farm (May 13th)
Saturday at the South Charleston Farmers Market (May 16th)
What to expect
Get them in the ground mid-May → flowers start showing off by mid-July
And once they get going? They don’t quit.
Cut them often, and they’ll just keep giving all the way to frost.
A few things folks always ask:
Do deer bother these?
Not usually… but deer don’t exactly ask permission either.
If they like your yard, you may want to spray or fence. We like Liquid Fence.
Can I grow these in containers?
You sure can. Beds, rows, pots—it all works.
Do I need a big garden?
Nope. An 8×5 space does the trick.
Plant it all together or mix them into what you’ve already got.
Do I need to know what I’m doing?
Absolutely not. This is made for real people, not expert growers.
A little real talk - no guarantees
We’ll send you home with strong, healthy plants and all the guidance we can—but growing (even in your backyard) still answers to the weather, bugs, and the occasional mystery.
That’s part of it.
And if you need help along the way—we’re right here.
Bottom line?
You bring the sunshine and a little bit of dirt under your nails…
We’ll take care of the flowers.
